Carriots -

When creating a stream, what limits are imposed on "data" field?

I am doing testing and I want to record a total of 11 sensor:reading pairs in a single post.  However, I am getting a 401 unathorized error when I have 9 sensor:reading pairs.  I don't get an error when I reduce the pairs to 8.  It could also be that I am reaching some upper text limit as the "reading" part of the pair are strings of values from 0 to 120 characters, depending on the sensor.  Some are smaller strings, some are larger strings.

Please advise on the upper limit of this field and what would cause a 401 error.

Thank you - Zambiot

Hello Zambiot

Currently we don't have any limit on "data" field, but in logs, we can see that you are getting this error:

HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized
Date: Thu, XX Feb XXXX XX:XX:XX GMT
Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
Content-Length: 40
Connection: keep-alive
Content_type: application/vnd.carriots.apiv2+json
Server: TornadoServer/2.4

{ "response": "Not supported payload." }

And we can see that in your payload missing a "}" at the end.

Hope it helps

Enjoy Carriots!

jpastor - thank you again for the help.  Having you confirm there is not maximum length is good news for my application.  However the dropped "}" isn't good news.  It looks like my embedded file handling routine gets off by one when the file is over a certain length.  Strange.  I better dive in and figure this out on my end.  Thank you for the clue.
