We would like to have a icon/tab widget on our dashboard using which we can send an action event or notification to the Sensor Node/Sensor gateway via Carriot server, i.e event will go as a data stream/a topic to carriot and MQTT application running on Sensor Node/Sensor gateway will take action on this event and acknowledge back to the dashboard icon/widget. This is for scenario where user is monitoring temperature/pressure in a factory and will shut down the process if these parameters exceeds the threshold value. To summarize we want to provide a monitoring as well as control panel using ducksboard.
Could anyone please provide few pointers/suggestions on how this can be achieved.
Currently we are able to send data streams from Sensor Nodes through MQTT application to carriot and then to ducksboard.
Thanks & BR,

Ducksboard doesn't have a widget that allows for requests out (to Carriots or any other service).
To mount a control panel with this feature and leverage what you have already implemented in ducksboard, the best way is to make your own control panel with ducksboard components and your own components.

Then I leave some links that may be of interest:

Hope it helps!
