Confirmation on Limit of Request/Stream

I would like to confirm regarding limitation of streams and HTTP request for free users?


Currently I'm subscribing to Free Carriots Account, which is limited to 15000 stream, however, every end of the day I receive alarm "Validation error communications request day limit reached" (SDK20140807010122).


I have calculated no of request, without the internal carriots request, it's actually less than 15000. unless I count internal carriots request, then the request reaches beyond 15000.


So, I need to confirm, Is a request to internal carriots using SDK functions  (e.g. FindBy function ) counted as outbound request?

The limits in SDK are:

    5 SMS / day
    1 SMS / minute
  • Email API
    100 Email / day
    10 Email / minute
  • SDK Http Request (Outbound)
    15000 Req. / day


Maybe you send more than 100 emails in one day?

Please review your alarms section in the upper right corner. You should see what component has exceeded the limits.

need some more clarification:


1. are those limitation per device or per account?

2. is retrieving data from carriots considered as outbound request?

Hi tahir,
The limits are per account.
The message you received is probably because of a HTTP requests limit, maybe a listener that use BasicHttp( ).
Retrieving data from carriots is not considered as an outbound request.
